Birmingham Couple In Court For Shotgun

A couple have appeared in court on suspicion of dealing drugs from their Birmingham tower block flat and storing a sawn-off shotgun at the address.
Mohammed Makmahi and his female partner Eltaf Mockbil were arrested from their Hodgson Tower home in Guildford Drive, Newtown, during a police warrant at 7.30am on Monday (July 25).
Makmahi (23) and 22-year-old Mockbil were both charged with possessing a short-barrelled shotgun and ammunition, plus possessing cannabis with intent to supply.
The pair appeared at Birmingham Magistrates Court yesterday (July 26).
Unemployed Makmahi was remanded into prison while unemployed Mockbil was granted bail with conditions including daily reporting to a police station.
Both are due to next appear at Birmingham Crown Court on 23 August.
