Bootle Man Charged After Firearm And Ammunition Seized

Merseyside Police can confirm a 46-year-old man has been charged with possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition following the search of a house in Wadham Road, Bootle on Tuesday, 11 August.

Anthony John Newall, 46, of Wadham Road was remanded in custody to appear at South Sefton Magistrates Court this morning (Thursday, 13 August).

A 17-year-old male and a 65-year-old woman, both from Bootle, who were arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
