Handgun Recovered From Car In North London

Trident and Area Crime Command detectives in London have arrested two people following the recovery of firearm in a proactive operation on Monday night, 7 November.

Just before 22:00hrs Specialist Firearms Command officers, working with Trident detectives, and supported by Roads and Transport Policing Command officers carried out a stop on a car on the A406 near Abbey Road, NW10.

A handgun was recovered.

The two occupants of the car - a man aged 30 and a woman aged 21 - were arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and taken into custody at a north London police station.
