Injury Shooting - Merseyside
18th January 2016Merseyside Police can confirm officers were in attendance in Fazakerley, following an injury shooting on Friday evening (15 January).
Emergency services were called to Grieve Road at around 6.20pm following reports that a man had been shot. The victim, a 28-year-old man, has been taken to hospital where he is being treated for pellet injuries, caused by a shotgun, to his back. His condition is not believed to be life threatening.
At this early stage of the investigation the motive for the attack is unknown, although it is believed to be targeted.
Witnesses are being spoken to, house-to-house enquiries are being carried out and CCTV from the area is being sought in a bid to identify the offenders.
Crime scene investigators attended and carried out forensic examinations at the scene.
