Injury Shooting Merseyside

Detectives from the specialist Matrix Serious Organised Crime team are appealing for information following an injury shooting in Warbreck Moor in the early hours of Saturday, 28 February.
Officers were called to an address on Wyresdale Road at about 4.40am to reports of a group of males, dressed in black with their hoods up, having forced their way in to a house.
When officers arrived at the scene they found a 41-year-old local man, who had suffered a gunshot wound to his left shoulder. The man was taken to hospital where he is being treated.
The investigation is in its early stages, but detectives believe it is targeted. The offenders are believed to have fled the scene towards Greenwich Road and could possibly have got into a dark car.
Crime scene investigations are being carried out at the property and house-to-house enquiries are underway. High visibility patrols have been stepped up in the area to reassure the local community
