Injury Shooting in Birmingham

Police are investigating after a man was shot in the leg in an Erdington street yesterday morning (Wednesday 21 March).
The man, in his early 20s, was taken to hospital with a non-life threatening injury following the shooting in Brookvale Park Road at around 11am.
The offender is believed to have fled in a white Ford Fiesta and officers are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
The road was currently cordoned off while investigations continue and house-to-house enquiries are carried out.
Sergeant Simon Hanlon, from West Midlands Police CID, said: "We are in the early stages of our investigation and trying to piece together what led to the victim being shot in the leg.
"At this stage it appears to be a targeted attack and we would ask anyone who saw anything to get in touch.
"We are particularly keen to establish more information about the white Ford Fiesta which was seen leaving the area at speed."
