Leicester Shooting, Man Sustains Leg Injury

Officers are today continuing enquiries into an incident in which a man sustained a gunshot wound.
They would like to speak to anyone who was in the King Street area of Leicester at around 6am yesterday (Sunday 8 May) and saw the incident take place.
Detectives are also keen to speak to anyone who was at Sophbeck nightclub on the street in the early hours of Sunday morning and thinks they could have information which may help.
The 31-year-old victim has been discharged from hospital after receiving treatment for a wound to his leg.
Officers were called to King Street at around 6.10am yesterday after receiving a report that a man had sustained a gunshot injury following an altercation with a small group of men.
Anyone with information is asked to call 101 and speak to DC 2011 Chris Fox, quoting incident 171 of May 8.
