Man Arrested After Woman Shot In Head

Thames Valley Police Major Crime team has arrested a man in connection with a shooting in Abingdon on Tuesday night (3/11).
The 20-year-old man from Ealing, London was arrested last night (4/11) on suspicion of attempted murder and is currently in custody.
At around 8.20pm the emergency services were called to a report of a suspected shooting of a 26-year-old woman in Thornhill Walk off Northcourt Road.
The victim, who is from Abingdon, sustained serious head injuries and was taken to the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford where she is still in a critical condition.
Officers investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident have been carrying out searches and forensic examinations at a number of locations in and around Northcourt Road.
