Man Arrested In Connection With Barber's Shop Shooting

Detectives from Trident, investigating a shooting at a barber's shop in Rotherhithe New Road, SE16 on 8 May; have made an arrest.

A 38-year old woman suffered an injury to her leg during the incident and was treated in hospital.

On Wednesday, 17 June at approximately 23:21hrs, officers arrested a 27-year old man from Deptford on suspicion of attempted murder and possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

Officers arrested the man as part of a pre-planned, intelligence-led operation.

He was found in possession of £6,000 which has been seized.

A subsequent search of his home address revealed a large quantity of crack cocaine and equipment used to produce crack cocaine.

Also found at the address was £25,000 in cash. He remains in custody at a south London police station.
