Met Police Appeal For Witnesses After Shooting

Police are appealing for witnesses to a shooting last night in Westminster.

Officers were called at approximately 21:41 hours on Thursday 19 November to Tintern House, Alderney Street, SW1 to reports of an injured man.

Officers attended and discovered 25 year-old man with a gunshot wounds to his leg.

He was taken by London Ambulance Service to a central London hospital where he remains. His injuries are not described as life threatening.

A man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and possession of a firearm.

Detectives from the Met's Trident Gang Command are investigating.

Following the incident a number of men were seen running away towards Warwick Way.
