Want to work for NABIS? We are recruiting for a Ballistic Technician based at our Birmingham lab.
The National Ballistics Intelligence Service (NABIS) became fully operational in 2008. The service, hosted by West Midlands Police on behalf of the NPCC, provides fast time, comprehensive intelligence in relation to the criminal use of firearms.
As part of this developing service, we are looking for a firearms technician to join a highly professional team at the NABIS Central Forensic Hub.
This is an exciting and varied role that will suit a motivated and passionate individual. The ideal candidate will;
- Have a high degree of accuracy in all work and attention to detail.
- Demonstrate good organisational skills and an ability to prioritise in order to complete work packages within restricted time scales.
- Evidence a proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and provide excellent customer service.
- Hold a good standard of education and literacy, with good interpersonal skills as this role will require working with a number of police forces, outside agencies and organisations.
You will be required to work shifts on a rotating basis and to cover holidays and absence as required.
