Offender Jailed After Shooting Two Men

A man has been jailed for 20 years after being found guilty of the attempted murder of two men in Clapton.
Andrew Gordon - 27 (07.08.88) of Urswick Road, E9 was jailed at Snaresbrook Crown Court on 9 March following a trial.
Gordon was sentenced as follows:
- attempted murder of a man, aged 22 at time of the offence - 17 years imprisonment with three years extended licence;
- attempted murder of a man, aged 23 at time of the offence - 17 years imprisonment with three years extended licence (sentence to run concurrently);
- possession of a prohibited weapon - seven years imprisonment (sentence to run concurrently).
This follows an incident in Median Road, E5 on 21 February 2014 where Gordon was involved in an altercation with two other men. During this altercation, Gordon discharged a firearm which wounded both men.
Both men were treated at hospital and subsequently discharged.
