Sheffield Shooting, Man Charged With Attempted Murder

A 26-year-old man has been charged by officers investigating a reported shooting in Chapeltown, Sheffield.
Jamie Lee Howden, of Barber Street, Hoyland, Barnsley, appeared before Sheffield Magistrates' Court yesterday (Thursday 21 July) charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm. He has been remanded in custody to appear before Sheffield Crown Court at a later date.
Police were called at around 11pm on Friday 15 July following reports shots had been fired in Burncross Road, Chapeltown. Nobody is believed to have been injured during the incident.
Six people, five men and one woman, were arrested in connection with the incident. They remain on bail pending further enquiries.
