South Yorkshire Arrests After Man Shot

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of assault and possession of a firearm with intent following an incident in Burngreave last week where a man was shot.

On Thursday, 13 August, at around 11.15am, a 22-year-old man sustained a none life-threatening gunshot injury on Spital Lane and was taken to hospital.

Police are investigating and the two men arrested, both 20-years-old, are currently in custody being questioned by officers.

Additional patrols are in place in the community to provide reassurance to local residents.
