Teenager Jailed For Life After Murder Of Bristol Man

15th May 2015

A 19-year-old man has been jailed for life with a minimum tariff of 23 years after being convicted of murdering a Bristol teenager.

Nicholas Robinson, 19, was fatally stabbed at his home in Ron Jones House, Jamaica Street, Stokes Croft, on Wednesday 5 March 2014.

The murder was in revenge for his role in a failed bid to buy a firearm.

Luchiano Barnes, of Denbigh Street, was convicted of murder yesterday (14/5). He previously admitted a charge of conspiracy to purchase a firearm.

Barnes was sentenced earlier today (15/5) by Judge Cottle, who said Barnes had shown a degree of pre-planning in taking a knife with him to confront Nicholas.

The judge also praised Nicholas' family for the "dignity" they have shown throughout the three-week trial.
