Wolverhampton Man Jailed For City Shooting

6th November 2014

A Wolverhampton drug dealer has been jailed for 15 years after shots were fired at a car full of people in Horseley Fields.

Thankfully no one was injured when a Ford Focus, containing Aaron Eziekel Brown, opened fire at a black Peugeot 206 in the early hours of Monday 28 October last year.

Brown, of Julian Close, Deansfield, was arrested two days after the shooting on St James Street.

Police, who were on patrol in the area, heard the gunshots and arrived at the scene to see the Peugeot, carrying four people, speeding away. Officers began to pursue the vehicle, believing it to contain offenders in the crime.

The car was lost momentarily before officers found it parked in nearby Qualcast Road.

The driver left the scene but two men and a woman helped police with enquiries, where it emerged that the woman knew one of the men inside the Focus, from which the shots had been fired.

Detectives launched a thorough investigation and combed the area around St James Street, leading to the discovery of a sawn off shotgun and cartridges stashed under a bush.
